This lady hit my dads car, and got insurance on spot. Her company denied our claim, and she said she would pay cash. She made us run around for the cheapest quote, and now she doesn’t answer our calls. It’s been 6 months since the accident! What do we do now? PS. She did get a ticket, as it was her fault and she was driving without insurance…and we don’t know anything about courts or law suits.. where do we start?

Where can I find the cheapest car insurance?

Protege Chris asked:

I’m living in Arkansas (working in Texas and in Arkansas). I’m an 18 year old male.

I need to obtain FULL coverage on a 2000 Mazda Protege. The cheapest quote I had found (through Geico I believe) is $585/month for full coverage.. that’s over $7000 a year…

I have two tickets on my record. That quote was done without listing any tickets at all.

I work 65 hours a week, so the only place I really drive is to my jobs and back. Unfortunately, I need a car in a hurry.. which means I’m going to finance one, which means full coverage is required.

Any recommendations on places to get quotes from aside from geico and progressive?
I don’t necessarily *WANT* full coverage, but if I finance something.. I have no choice. I make around $1750 a month, but I can’t wait to buy a car (thus the need to finance)

For example: I’m wanting to buy a 25k car. (new civic) I got quoted at $1500 for a 6 month policy full coverage. I have a clean record. How much does my age effect the quote all other things being equal. Will waiting till I’m 24 make a big difference in the quote?

car insurance and credit rating?

samwalsh2303 asked:

Im getting insured in 4 days, well hoping to,
anyway i have been online, got my quote, got all the way till i put my bank details in (just to see if it would work)

im trying to get monthly payments, i was worried though when i put my details in they might check my credit rating and change my quoted policy, or is that policy i am given on their site official and thats after assessing my credit rating?

btw im talking about the AA

Should I wait until after renewal to tell the insurance company and file a claim . I wanted to wait until renewal because then the insurance company will have a locked in rate for my insurance until the next renewal and since there are no accidents prior my rate will be lower for another year, But I also worry that if I wait 2-3 days after renewal they will think something’s up and get me with insurance fraud or something…..since I have already been to 1 local business to get a repair quote

i have just passed my test, and my insurance company (Quinn Direct) are trying to rip me off. When i had provisional license, my insurance was 1100 on a 1.1 saxo. which i thought was good 4 1st time driver. but now ive passed they are saying its going to increase to 2500, which surely is a load of rubbish? i did a few quotes with other companys and they are coming up around 1100-1500. if i cancel my insurance with Quinn (at a fee of £35) and join another insurance company, will i have to start over with my no claims? as i dont have a full year yet, my 1st no claim would be in march 09. please help? what should i do? i dont want to be ripped off but i also dont want to loose my half a year of no claims. Plus i also have 10 month acelerater insurance, which i paid a deposit up front, so i have 2 free months at the end of my insurance.
