It might have said Insured Named and not Named Insured…does that make a difference?

Yes. You just note that these are the people driving the car. Family members often have primary drivers–but perhaps it will be equal. Undoubtedly, rates will be evaluated on the worst driving record. Just talk to the insurance agent about your needs. They will be very helpful.

If the car is registered to both brothers and they are both owners of the car. They both can be lsited as Named Insureds.
Most companies may have one named insured listed. However this is only do to how the computer generates the documents.

Yes, you can. If you are co-owners of the car, you can both be named insureds. You would also both be listed drivers on the car.
I have written policies like this before.
