I am a male teenager about to turn 17 and i am getting quotes to see how much it would cost me to get car insurace, It seems that it would cost me upwards of £1500 a year to insure a 1.2 x reg vauxhall corsa yet if i only change the gender to female i can get the insurance from upwards of £700, i find this hugely sexist as this is based on a variable that i cant change at all, i was born a man and now i am being discrimated for being one, I know someone is going to reply saying its based on statistics but im sure i could find statistics saying that different ethnic origins could contribute to how much they claim on car insurance so i feel this is completly sexist and i was wondering how i could go about making sure that the insurances companys couldn’t do this
