I was searching for car insurance quotes online and just wondered about this.
Do they believe if a woman allows a man to marry her, that she is “cosigning” and giving her “stamp of approval” on how responsible he is since women get lower rates and are considered more responsible?
How does this work?
Wow I guess being with a woman really does solve all of man’s problems
Since women are perfect and can do no wrong…
So I guess I’ll just be considered a dumb ass to the insurance company tiI I get married right?

If a man is married it shows he has commitment for one. If hes married and has a family it shows hes reliable and probably safety oriented, therefore responsible. All things car companies look at.

If you’re talking about car insurance quotes, marriage is an indication that you’re settling down and will no longer drag race and do wheelies in parking lots…running the potential for filing a claim.

Expecting a generally irresponsible man to suddenly become a responsible husband/father is idiocy.
Coming to the insurance thingy — The discount is automatic, after you both are on the same policy. It isn’t a “marriage” discount. Meaning just because you are married you get a discount, if you both have different policies.
The discount comes from the wife expectancy to drive a portion of the time on the mans vehicle. Thus, his rate goes down. On the other hand, the wife’s goes up as they expect the husband to drive her car at some point. Generally, unless the wife has a terrible driving record, this is a decrease of some sort across the board.

It generally means he’s too beaten down to feel like driving fast and even if he wanted to , the wife wouldn’t ;let him get the Mustang so he’s driving a mini van.

The reality of car insurance is that as a couple they can shoulder more liability as they are married than as an individual. When it comes to car insurance, I can assure you, as I have sold it, that it is all about perceived risk and anyway they can avoid having to pay out additional claims they will do it.
As for whether you’re a dumb*ss to the insurance company, I couldn’t say, but as far as you just being a dumb*ss for the constant bitterness you display to women in your slanted questions you constantly post here, I would say you’re doing that spectacularly
