That s too much dude. When i was 16 1/2 they only raised it by $400… so i recommend you to pick a different insurance.

Getting new car insurance is a fast and easy way to save your money. You can get a quick estimate online they always give you multiple quotes.
I have used

ken k is right; only your dad’s agent can tell you exact figures. You’re pretty well stuck with his policy, anyway, since you can’t get your own insurance at 16. Dad may be putting you off (or putting you on) with that figure. However, you do need to be added as a listed driver so the company knows about you.

It is hard to say, call you local agent or do some research yourself by using seach engine, you should get the idea.

autoinsurance.noneto.com – check this one. As I remember they have lowest car insurance rates for teens and young drivers.

Your father is probably right. Insurance companies consider 16 a very young age and a VERY HIGH risk. Don’t get disappointed there are companies who will eventually get you covered, only other factor is that you don’t want to be listed on a sporty car. Good Luck

Id go to the horse’s mouth on this one. The average driver saves over $396 when going with Allstate. You can get a free quote from them by calling 1-888-384-6096. Hopefully this will save you some money. Good Luck!
