Is the Toyota Celica considered a sports car by insurance companies?

Any 2 door car is a sports car because it has the sporty ness attribute.

no !!! only thre GT may be considered a sports car depending on the company you use. otherwise its a compact or sub-compact car .. again– depending on the company. since i dont know where you’re located, try wawanesa insurance.. 1 800 438 4300 triple a rated very good coverage !!

2 doors, is one thing. How much horsepower and its “record” of how many people have crashed and times its been stolen all are taken into account.

Just write down all cars you like then see this take the quote, they’ll come back with prices from different insurers in your area. It’s very quick and free of charge.
When you get the quote, do not close your browser, just back up, change car then get another quote for the new car.
Write it all down so you don’t forget.
Also write down the name of the insurer and the link to go back to them.
Spend a couple of days like this, getting quotes and getting your data down till you have enough so you can now see which was the best/cheapest price.

It is a sports car. I asked my husband to be sure (he’s a Master Toyota Tech and has worked for Toyota for over 15 yrs.) He would know.

this toyota celica possibly wouldn’t be too bad to insure
but all this is a waste of time and words as all you have to do is get a quote on it then back up, input Honda Civic and try again. Simple thing to do.
Also each insurer will have their own ideas which makes this talking even more up in the air.

yes they are. by the way cape horne i used to have that same celica gt model it was a 73 right? these are great handeing little cars if you can find one in that shape.
